The BetaTec Innovation Centre (BIC) is housed in a multidisciplinary community of 300 science and technology professionals in an environment that not only promotes innovation but fosters the growth and prosperity of BetaTec. The BIC officially opened on May 8, 2017, in Malvern Hills Science Park, Great Malvern, Worcestershire, on a 10-acre site of outstanding natural beauty at the foot of Malvern Hills.

R&D at the BIC is driven by a team of experts who specialize in a wide range of scientific disciplines.
New knowledge and data to support BetaTec’s clients—both current and potential—is the focus of the daily agenda at BIC. Daily activities are managed by a R&D lab manager and a team—passionate about the challenges they face.
Educational institutions and industrial partners also collaborate with BetaTec at their Innovation Centre.
SCIENTIFIC EXPERTS
Staff professional expertise facilitates the development of new applications and uses for existing hop-based products, as well as the creation of breakthrough products and technologies in alignment with BetaTec’s business strategy and needs of its clients.
Microbiology and Chemistry Labs
The Centre’s lab suites comfortably accommodate six full-time scientific researchers. Both suites are equipped with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems for chemistry and microbiology analytical determinations.
